LOCATION:

Rexall Centre, York University

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

As Corporate Partnerships Intern, this position will provide administrative support as it relates to Corporate Partnerships servicing and sales team for the 2010 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank (Canada's international men's tennis championships).

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of or currently studying the sports marketing/administration discipline and will possess the following skills:

• Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to excel in a time-sensitive and professional working environment
• Extremely personable and a good listener

ACCOUNT SUPPORT

• Work closely with Account Managers to ensure all sponsorship obligations are met
• Collect and track sponsor messages for announcements, website and daily news
• Assist with planning and implementing sponsor promotions prior to and during the event
• Develop critical paths for various on-site promotions
• Assist with tracking of sponsor benefits
• Assist with sponsor ticket distribution
• Organize/track advertising for souvenir magazine
• Organize sponsor accreditation needs

RETAIL AREA CO-ORDINATION

• Maintain an updated schedule of retail booths and contacts
• Develop accreditation forms for booth personnel
• Co-ordinate site requirements
• Oversee booth area during event
• Contact person for Retail Clients

SPONSORSHIP HOSTING SUPPORT

• Assist in sending out invitations and tickets

SALES ADMINISTRATION

• Use internet to research various prospects and current sponsors
• Provide sales team support as required
• General administrative duties

OTHER

• Assist with other activities that may be assigned to ensure all tournament expectations are met
• Work closely with Events Division Staff to ensure all elements relating to all partnerships are fulfilled. This may include advertising and marketing, operations, promotions, media or other departments.
• Develop Post Event Corporate Partnership Intern Binder
• Cover break and lunch shifts at reception on specific days

Marketing and Promotions

Tennis Canada is looking for highly motivated individuals to fill three summer internship positions in the Marketing & Promotions department. Candidates must be working towards or have recently completed a post-secondary degree or diploma and must be fluent in English.
