  • The Romanian community in Toronto has been out in full force cheering on Simona Halep this week. On Friday they help spur Halep onto a three-set comeback win over defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska while on Saturday they witnessed Halep make her first Rogers Cup final.

  • Top seeds Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza were busy after they wrapped up a quarter-final triumph over Taipei’s Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan on Friday. Former singles world No. 1 Hingis popped by the National Bank Premium Series Club Lounge to chat with guests.
